Steading cottage is hidden away from site amongst farmland, in a beautiful rural country location just a mile from the centre of Crieff. The cottage offers warm and friendly selfcatering accommodation for rent for two, three or four people, right in the heart of Perthshire. This holiday cottage is ideal as a centre for your Scottish holiday activities, especially for outdoor lovers; bird watchering, golf, mountain biking, fishing, tennis and hill walking.
Crieff has excellent local amenities, some are within walking distance of the cottage, including traditional local Scottish pubs, several restaurants, a wine bar, small independent shops, convenience store, a wonderful new delicatessen called 'The Crieff Food Company', supermarket, post office and art gallery. Tourist information on local attractions, festivals, theatre and children's activities in the area are detailed on our 'Stay in Perthshire' guide. Crieff is close to Comrie, Auchterarder, Gleneagles Hotel (golfers often like to play or visit), Cromlix Hotel (fun to visit for tennis lovers) and Loch Turret is at the foothills of the grampians - the 'gateway to the highlands', the river Earn flows through Crieff.
Scottish vacation accommodation
Steading cottage has been renovated, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The cottage is part of a former farm Steading where the owners live - you will not find them intrusive and the cottage has been cleverly developed to give privacy and space with its own drive and access. The location of the property is rural yet easy walk to Crieff where you will find pubs and restaurants and shops full of local produce. Crieff recreation centre has a swimming pool and there is a tennis court on site that guest may use by arrangement.
This spacious selfcatering holiday house has all the accommodation on the ground floor and is very comfortably furnished and well equipped. The large open plan sitting/dining room extends to approx 34 foot, has a cozy wood / log burning stove at one end and an archway to a large area with a coombed ceiling, wooden floors, rugs and french doors that open onto a large patio area with views towards Ben Chonzie. It is extremely comfortable sleeping up to 4 adults, but is equally suitable for couples on a romantic break in the highlands or a small group of friends holidaying together and wanting a rural retreat yet pubs and restaurants close by. Children are welcome too, and we are happy to provide a cot for a baby if requested in advance.
The property enjoys unspoilt views and has a sun trap courtyard garden with a patio, garden furniture and barbecue. A pet friendly cottage by arrangement, with an enclosed garden, making it possible for you to travel with your dog.
The self-catering rental price is fully inclusive of all services and utilities. There are no hidden extra costs for wi-fi, heating, logs, bed linen (lovely cotton) or final cleaning.
